Welcome to Natchez High Health & Human Science Academy!
Natchez High School became a pilot school for the Mississippi Department of Education
academy model. The goal is to create smaller learning communities that will help build
stronger professional relationships amongst teachers and students. NHS will focus its
attention on three (3) major academies: CAB (Communications, Arts, & Business),
Health & Human Science, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,
Mathematics). Junior students will take required core courses and stay with their academy until their senior year. NHS and the Natchez-Adams School District are committed to producing life long learners who can lead in a global society as confident, competent, and productive citizens.
Vision: The vision of Natchez High School Health & Human Science Academy, is to cultivate a nurturing and innovative learning environment that empowers students to achieve excellence in the fields of health and human sciences. Through a rigorous curriculum, hands-on experiences, and community partnerships, we aim to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals, scientists, and leaders who are committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities around the world.
Mission: The mission of Natchez High School Health & Human Science Academy is to provide a high-quality education that combines academic rigor with practical experience in the health and human sciences. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of learners who are passionate about making a positive impact in the healthcare field. Through personalized learning, mentorship, and collaboration, we prepare our students for success in post-secondary education and beyond, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding necessary to excel in their future careers and contribute to the betterment of society.
